Year 6 Weekly Timetable
Please click on the image below for a copy of our weekly timetable - please note that, on occasions, we do have to make some changes to this timetable.
Year 6 Reading Spine
We have carefully selected these books which we will read with Year 6 over the course of the year. The books link with our wider curriculum learning, expose children to fantastic writing and represent the many cultures in our community. Click on the image below for further details:
Year 6 Knowledge Organisers
Our knowledge organisers give a detailed summary of what your child is learning in history, geography and science. They are a very useful tool to help you ask your child about what they have learnt in school.

Reading
In Year 6, we are passionate about reading and expect children to read at home five times a week. Like last year, children will have a digital reading diary.
Spellings
Click here for the Year 5/6 spelling words. You can really help your child by help them to practise their spellings at home and by encouraging them to use the words when you talk to them.
Maths
Throughout the year, we focus on different maths facts. Once they become automatic for children, it allows them to quickly recall the facts when completing more complex maths equations.
Times tables and equivalente fractions, decimals and percentages are both very useful facts for the children to learn. Click on the images below to download a timestable grid or fractions, decimals and percentages facts:
Weekly Homework
Every Thursday, homework will be set for the children via Teams. Each child will be given their log in details at the start of the year. Homework will need to be completed by the following Tuesday.
Project Homework
This half term, the project homework for Year 6 focuses on our history topic 'Ancient Greece'. Click on the image below for further details:
